How often should acidic water tanks be treated? What are the specific process treatment measures?
What to process? We carry out it along with the major maintenance; during this maintenance, cleaning and inspections are done, and internal anti-corrosion treatment is repeated every 6 to 9 years.
Treated in the same way as sulfur-containing light oil storage tanks: generally, maintenance is carried out every two years without a nitrogen seal, and every four years with a nitrogen seal.
Process treatment measures. How can it be cleaned thoroughly to meet the conditions for maintenance?
Here’s how we do it: 1. Remove the oil sludge. Connected to a screw pump; high-pressure water guns are used at the top of the tank to break up the sludge. The sludge was loaded onto vehicles and taken away. 2. After the sludge has been largely removed, chemical cleaning, passivation, and deodorization are carried out following the same process; a rotating water gun is used to spray the passivating agent on the tank walls. 3. Remove the agent, isolate, ventilate, and clean the tank. If operating with two tanks, the front sedimentation tank needs to be cleaned every 2–3 years; anti-corrosion treatment can be applied or not. The back tank can be cleaned once every four years.
After the sludge has been largely removed, chemical cleaning, passivation, and deodorization are carried out following the same process, with the passivating agent being sprayed onto the tank walls using a rotating water gun.
Before delivering it for maintenance, we usually steam the tank using temporary facilities and then treat it with deodorants.
