Our factory has acquired a new tubular furnace. The convection section and the radiation section are both fitted with refractory fiber mats, while only the area containing the three burners uses refractory bricks and other refractory materials. May I ask if it is still necessary to carry out furnace drying in this situation? Are there any guidelines in this regard? If so, please send them to me. Thank you.
The furnace needs to be heated up to dry it and remove moisture, with the temperature rising gradually to protect the refractory materials.
Refractory fiber mats definitely don’t require oven drying. The area where the brazier is placed definitely needs to be heated up; it is recommended to use a heating rod and increase the temperature gradually, following the manufacturer’s guidelines regarding time and temperature.
