Check valve installation requirements

At the construction site, it was found that the contractor had installed the check valve of the fire pump at an angle (i.e., the flange surface was not horizontal). There is no error in the installation direction. Regarding the installation of check valves, apart from requirements regarding horizontal and vertical alignment, are there any specifications regarding allowable deviations in installation?

Lift check valves are installed horizontally; however, it is not recommended to install any type of check valve at an angle. I hope this helps you.
