Hello everyone. I’m not very familiar with gasoline blending; I’m just starting out. I would like to ask the experts: can it be possible to produce gasoline that meets or even exceeds the National V 92# standard using isooctane, mixed xylene, naphtha, mixed aromatics, and MTBE? What are the appropriate proportions for each component? And what parameters need special attention?
It’s definitely possible to adjust these values of yours, but as for that specific ratio, it needs to be determined by professionals through calculations and experimental verification. It can’t be done just anywhere here
What’s the result after bringing it out? Is it effective?
Based on the current unit prices of various components, which ones would be more cost-effective to include in 92# gasoline?
Gasoline has many specifications; octane rating is one of them, along with aromatic content, oxygen content, sulfur content, and so on, all of which are determined through calculations based on their concentrations
Gasoline is generally produced by using catalytic gasoline as the base oil; your method is likely to result in a lot of waste in oil formulation
Standard grades cannot be obtained, as they all contain no olefins; non-standard grades can be used instead
The national standard specifies that the olefin content in gasoline should be no more than 30%; Sinopec also has requirements regarding the olefin content in the materials it purchases. You can add components with a high olefin content; xylene and mixed aromatics serve a somewhat similar purpose
Harmonization can definitely be achieved; as for the cost, that’s something you’ll need to consider on your own. It’s unlikely to be possible to get a specific formula here
