What is the outer diameter of the A series pipes with DN65? According to the HG flange standards, the outer diameter of steel pipes is divided into Series A and Series B. Series A pipes are the internationally standard series, that is, the imperial pipes. Series B are metric pipes. Logically, the outer diameter of the DN65 pipes in Series A should be the same as that of 2.5\" pipes, which is 73 mm; however, according to the HG standards, the outer diameter of DN65 pipes, whether in Series A or Series B, is 76 mm. If that’s the case, then if I choose flanges according to the HG standard and specify that the pipe ends are of series A, and if I purchase pipes in imperial units with a DN65 size, there will be a 3 mm difference in the outer diameter. The common outer diameter for the A series in China is 76; those with a diameter of 73 need to be specified separately.
