Baffle rod heat exchanger

Gentlemen, has anyone designed a baffle rod heat exchanger? What thickness should the baffle rods be chosen to have? Is there a standard reference? I’ve seen shift rods made with 10mm bars; I’m not sure if 6mm would be suitable if I use it. I don’t know what the standards are or how to check the strength of the strips. Thank you all

Empirical data shows that for standard hole arrangement, the baffle rod placed between the two tubes should be sized according to the available space (with a negative deviation of 0.5 mm). There are drawings on this topic in the forum.

The baffle rods are made of small round steel bars, not strip-shaped ones
