What do these terms on pipes – Smd, Sch.40s, A312 Gr.TP304-E – mean? I need an expert’s explanation! ! ! ! !
Pipe: tube； Smd: It should be Sml=Seamless, meaning seamless tube ； Sch.40s: Wall thickness class, refer to ASME B36.19 ； A312 Gr.TP304: Stainless steel material ； E: I don’t know.
ASTM A312 is the material standard titled \"Nominal Size Pipes of Seamless, Welded, and Highly Worked Austenitic Stainless Steels,\" and TP304 is one of the grades specified in this standard; it corresponds to the Chinese standard 06Cr19Ni10 (0Cr18Ni9). I couldn’t find out what the last ‘E’ means either.
E should be a rank, I guess. Just like Q235A, B, C
