Float level controller on the pump seal

Why is there sealed nitrogen on the pump’s mechanical seal, and another line that leads to the flare system? There’s also a small tank connected to it, with a label indicating that it’s a float level controller. What is this? Thank you all
The float-type level controller is an important component among the leakage detection elements for mechanical seals; it triggers an alarm when the leakage rate of the mechanical seal reaches a critical level. Generally, a float-type level switch is used when there is no 24DV power supply on-site; otherwise, a differential pressure type level switch is used.
The mechanical seal oil tank is equipped with a low liquid level float switch to monitor the liquid level inside the tank, as well as pressure sensors; a low liquid level or high pressure indicates a leakage issue in the seal
