Hello everyone, in the design of chemical process construction drawings, what responsibilities do the various signing fields such as drawing preparation, design, review, approval, and authorization correspond to respectively? What responsibility does the signatory bear in case of an accident during production?
It seems difficult to determine whether the responsibility for design is greater or that of review and approval. Generally speaking, in terms of design, some firms earn more money on specific projects: lol.
The approval section bears the greatest responsibility, but those who approve don’t actually get things done; it is the reviewers who are responsible for the actual work

Designers bear legal responsibility for the design outcomes. The designers here should be understood as those involved in the four stages of design, proofreading, review, and approval. There are no specific regulations defining exactly how much responsibility they bear.
As I understand it, the design team is responsible for production-related accidents, such as defective products or failure to meet production targets, and bears financial responsibility for such issues; Review, approval, and authorization are responsible for safety incidents, such as insufficient safety distances or inadequate safety levels, etc. The manufacturer shall be held responsible for any accidents resulting from faulty production or improper operations. Is this the correct way to understand it?
It’s impossible to turn to the design team when the products are of poor quality or the production volume does not meet the standards... After all, what role does the design team actually play?
