Generally, the compression testing machines for cartons that we commonly see are of the microcomputer type; however, due to increased testing requirements from customers, computer-controlled servo carton compression machines have now emerged. The difficulty of operation will increase relatively. Below is a detailed explanation of the operation method for the computer-controlled servo cardboard compression machine. It is very simple to use, and there are mainly three methods available for reference:A. Planar pressure test
1. Put on gloves. Before testing, first check whether the machine is powered on or not. After turning on the power supply, press the power switch; the power indicator light will turn on, and the machine’s testing procedure will start automatically.
2. Refer to the “TM2101 Software Operation Guide”.
4. Test other packaging items of the same type in sequence using steps 1–2 above, and calculate the average value, which represents the maximum compressive strength of that packaging item. B. Compression test on edges and corners: Before reaching the peak value, a certain amount of load is applied as an initial load to ensure good contact between the test sample and the upper and lower pressure plates. When testing edges and corners, place the edge of the package or one of its two diagonals at the center of the testing machine, apply a certain initial load to secure it, and then proceed with the testing according to the steps of Method A. The maximum compressive strength value obtained from the testing, plus the initial load value, constitutes the maximum compressive strength value for that edge or corner. C. Testing method for cylindrical packages: The specimen must be placed in the center, with the seam perpendicular to the surfaces of the upper and lower pressure plates; the other testing steps are similar to those in Method A.
