Seeking advice on pipe material selection for chemical plant areas

What kind of pipes are generally used in chemical plant areas? It is now required to be overhead for transporting wastewater, with a pH level of 4 to 10 for such wastewater. Is 316L stainless steel welded pipe suitable for this purpose? If coated steel pipes are used, can welding be employed? Please let me know, thank you.
Coated steel pipes are coated as a whole after being prefabricated, which yields better results; therefore prefabrication is necessary. The adjustment sections can be assembled now and then sent back to the factory for coating
