Temperature of catalytic feed oil tanks: I’m not sure what temperature control is used for the feed oil tanks here. For us, hot feeding is generally maintained at a range of 130–150 degrees

The temperature of the crude oil tank isn’t that high, right? It’s heated after it comes out of the tank
The catalytic feed is quite mixed: there’s hot slag coming directly from other units, distillate oil with a relatively high temperature, and material coming from the storage tanks with a lower temperature
This temperature depends on the properties of the raw material, primarily its viscosity and visco-temperature characteristics. If the material has good fluidity, a slightly lower temperature is sufficient; whereas if its fluidity is poor, raising the temperature helps to improve its fluidity, facilitating pressure-driven transportation through pipelines. Therefore, its fluidity must be satisfied at both 140°C and 60°C. After all, the raw materials still need to be heat-exchanged before entering the reactor.
The source of catalytic feedstock is the control point; using vacuum residue or wax oil (from vacuum distillation or coking) represents a limitation in the upstream heat exchange process. Generally, using feedstocks with higher catalytic properties is advantageous. When using residue from storage tanks, it is necessary to control the temperature of those tanks, and in most cases the viscosity of such residues exceeds the limits required for transfer.
Here, the inlet temperature of the crude oil tanks is kept between 140 and 150 degrees; this is achieved by using heating coils in the oil processing area to warm the tanks. The temperature cannot be too high either; the designed temperature for the raw material tank should be around 200 degrees.
The temperature inside the unit when we feed material in is around 125 degrees. Additionally, some of the heat from the emergency pre-heating line returns to the tank, which raises the temperature of the crude oil tank. There are certain advantages to this; if the crude oil contains a small amount of water, it will enter the distillation tower through the vaporization line at the top of the tank, without affecting the reaction process
