If the water content in the system is too low and the reaction environment is too dry, the following signs will appear: ① Decrease in hydrogen purity; ② Reduction in the amount of C5+ liquid collected; ③ Increase in the aromatic content and octane number of the produced oil; ④ Increase in the C1/(C1 + C2+C3) ratio in the recycle gas; ⑤ Decrease in the temperature drop in the last reactor. Harm: The cracking reaction intensifies, resulting in a decrease in the yield of C5+ products, octane number, or aromatic hydrocarbon production, which affects the economic efficiency of the plant; it is particularly detrimental to catalyst performance and operational cycle length. Remedial measures: Increase water injection appropriately, and reduce chlorine injection if necessary. The purpose of taking such measures is to adjust the \"degree of ionization\" of acidic functions. The “ionization” referred to here means the formation of acidic sites resulting from the substitution of hydroxyl groups on the Al2O3 carrier by chlorine, along with the exchange process with water in the surrounding environment. With the same chlorine content, if the water content in the system is too low, the retention of acidity on the catalyst increases; in other words, the acidic components are less likely to be ionized.
