After a gas pipeline leaks during road construction, shouldn’t there be valves at both ends of that pipeline to shut it off? What kind of valves are generally used? Manual or electric? Is it dangerous if it’s electric? Thank you!
Well, ball valves are also available in electric and manual versions. I asked the manufacturer and they said an electric version can be used, but I’m still worried about whether it might pose a risk

It’s better to go with an electric version if conditions permit. Think about it: if there’s a leak in the gas pipeline, would you dare to go to the site to turn off the valves? It’s definitely safer to do it remotely
