In the biochemical tank using the A/O process, the COD of the influent is around 300 or so; aeration lasts for four hours per cycle, followed by three hours of settling and water discharge. If the dissolved oxygen remains within the normal range of 2 to 4 during aeration, what is the trend of dissolved oxygen over time throughout the aeration and settling phases?
