What is aluminum chloride compound? A customer wants to buy a pump; I asked him what material the pipes should be made of. He mentioned this aluminum chloride compound – what is it, and what material should be used for it? Can fluoroplastic or stainless steel be used?
This post was last edited by zdl1966 on 2015-10-29 at 16:26. It is not aluminum chloride in aggregate form, but polyaluminum chloride, which is a water purification agent. The pump should be a PTFE pump; stainless steel pumps won’t work. The pipes should be made of enamel or PP composite material. Because there is a large amount of salts and acids in liquid polyaluminum chloride. The pH value is between 3.0 and 5.5.
