I’ve previously bought a household fruit dryer with three layers – those with more moisture are placed at the bottom and those with less moisture at the top. I’m not sure if it works on the same principle, but the instructions state that the temperature shouldn’t be set too high, as high temperatures can severely destroy the vitamins in fruits. Moreover, when the surface of the fruits dries and forms a layer, the moisture inside remains trapped and makes it difficult to preserve the fruits, leading to an unusual taste when eaten
