I’m a new student learning about the installation of mechanical equipment, and I would like to ask the experienced colleagues: on the label of the compressor oil station, there is an indication of the amount of oil required. Is this amount the total oil needed for the entire equipment? Is it the remaining amount of fuel in the tank when the equipment is in operation?
The classmate didn’t specify exactly which oil level is referred to; the compressor has a lubrication system, and the oil level in the tank should be between 1/2 and 2/3 after the equipment is in operation. Another aspect is the lubrication of the cylinder via the oil injector; the amount of oil referred to here is the quantity of oil that the injector delivers into the cylinder per minute, or in other words, the number of drops of oil per minute. The oil filling volume refers to the initial amount of oil added to the lubricating oil station; during operation, the liquid level will be lower than this filling volume.

I suggest purchasing more. Before changing the lubricant, your tank also needs to be cleaned – all the dirt inside should be removed, and then it should be rinsed with clean oil.
