Is it appropriate to install sockets on electrical switch boxes? Some people think it’s not standard, but they can’t give a reason for it. What do you think?
I think aside from not looking good, there’s nothing wrong with it. Isn’t the maintenance power box also just a socket connected directly to the switch box?

If there is no maintenance power supply nearby, installing modular plugs in the switch box is the most feasible solution. General control cabinets are typically equipped with modular plugs for easy power access. Molded plugs must be used in conjunction with leakage protection switches to meet regulatory requirements.
