Can liquid nitrogen washing be performed after the NHD process?
It should be possible, but using low-temperature methanol washing combined with liquid nitrogen washing is more reasonable in terms of cooling capacity utilization.
At least I haven’t seen it; NHD is used in small devices
Before the development of the low-mercury process, a number of companies used the NHD process; back then, 30/52 was already considered quite good! Now everyone is moving towards large-scale fertilizer production.

It is difficult to achieve this, as the CO2 emitted by NHD is at a high level, which can easily cause freezing and blockages in the liquid nitrogen cooling tanks. Existing ammonia synthesis plants that use NHD are all equipped with methanation processes.
