What are the standards for determining the specifications and length of fasteners? For wafer butterfly valves, how are the size and length of the fully threaded studs and bolts determined?
Refer to standards such as hg20592, etc
The tightening force needs to be calculated in order to determine the diameter of the bolt; as for the length, it is determined based on the installation requirements – as long as the bolt diameter is sufficient, the tightening force will be adequate
Refer to standard HG20592 based on the pressure rating and diameter of the valve’s mating flanges~
Valves are matched with flanges; valves of different pressure ratings correspond to flanges of various standard pressure ratings. Bolts and studs can have their length selected according to standards, or the minimum length can be calculated and then rounded to determine the final length.
The specifications for American standards can be found directly in B16.5. For bolts required for wafer-type butterfly valves and similar devices, the thickness of one valve element and one gasket must be added to the original values. The length of the stud can also be calculated; in addition, it is specified in the HG standards mentioned by everyone upstairs.
