Briefly describe the vapor-liquid equilibrium in a distillation column?
It mainly reflects the quality of the product and the extent of losses. It is maintained by adjusting the operations of the tower (temperature, pressure) as well as the gas-liquid contact conditions on the tray; only when the temperature and pressure are fixed can a definite gas-liquid equilibrium composition be achieved. The steam rising phase inside the tower is favorable; when gas-liquid contact is good, mass and heat transfer efficiency are high, as is the efficiency of the tower trays. Of course, temperature and pressure also change as a result of changes in material balance.
