According to SY 6966-2013 \"Code for Design of Safety Instrumented Systems in Oil and Gas Pipeline Projects\", safety instrumented systems include systems such as ESD and FGS; therefore, can the fire linkage control system be classified under FGS? Please provide a solution.
1. ESD is de-energize to trip, while FGS is energize to trip; this is the main difference between the two. 2. ESD and FGS fall under the category of instrumentation and control ； The fire linkage control system seems to fall under the category of fire protection. I’m not entirely sure about this either; the fire alarm control instruments here have never been involved in such things.
