It can be used; for safety reasons, it’s better to use magnetic flip switches

As a manufacturer, I think using glass tubes is not safe. For concentrated sulfuric acid, side-mounted magnetic level gauges with PTFE lining can be used; if the budget is limited, magnetic level gauges made of PP material can also be employed. The longest glass tube we have used was four meters long. Answer completed
If the length is too large, a float level gauge is still used as a safety measure.
