There is currently a heat exchange unit, with the connection sequence as follows: water inlet – flange – wafer butterfly valve – flange – Y-type filter (connected via flanges); in other words, the Y-type filter is connected directly behind the wafer butterfly valve. The butterfly valve cannot be opened at present, and it is likely that the filter has jammed the valve disc. Are there any relevant regulations regarding whether a butterfly valve and a filter can be connected directly to each other?
Yes, the position of the filter screen does not block the valve plate.
I’m puzzled: if a butterfly valve is fitted on the flange, how can it still be connected to a filter flange? Does the flange have some kind of ability to split in two?
There’s a slight issue with my description; for a flanged butterfly valve, it should be flange-butterfly valve-flange, with the latter flange being the one that comes with the filter

It should be possible to connect, but since it’s a wafer butterfly valve, the bolts have to pass through the flange on one end of the filter, then through the flange on the other end as well as the corresponding pipe flanges, which makes installation difficult. It is best to add a section of straight pipe in the middle, as this makes it easier to remove the filter screen.
The previous designs involved inserting a short circuit in the middle; connecting directly was indeed inconvenient
It’s better to leave some straight sections; otherwise, disassembly will be a problem
Is it easy to disassemble, or is there a straight section with flanges in the middle?
I personally do not recommend doing this; it may not be suitable either for installation or maintenance. It is advisable to install them separately
