I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering. After graduation, I was fortunate enough to start working on infrastructure projects at a state-owned enterprise. Two years later, the project came to an end, and my supervisor talked to me, suggesting that since my background was related to construction engineering and safety engineering, I should work in the field of safety. I had been working there for less than two weeks when my former supervisor retired. . . Before leaving, my supervisor told me that I had a task to complete: get a safety certification. I thought it was a certificate for safety officers, but it wasn’t until he gave me the books that I realized it was a certification related to work safety. . . Then the safety department and the power equipment were integrated together, becoming a formality only. Previously there were three people handling safety tasks, but now I’m the only one who is dedicated to this role. It’s not something you realize until you start working in this field; it’s really tough being in charge of safety. When I first started conducting inspections, many experienced workers and long-time employees didn’t accept my authority. Some even said that a college student wandering around all day was just wasting time There are countless people who refuse to cooperate. After the inspections, those in charge say they don’t have time and ask me to sign instead. In the blink of an eye, 3 years have passed; it seems that my daily work mainly consists of dealing with inspections, contacting departments such as the fire department and safety supervision agencies. I’m not given any importance – when there’s a problem, they use me as a tool, but when nothing is going on, they ignore me completely. Recently, due to work requirements, my colleague who was previously in charge of environmental protection was transferred to another department. My supervisor talked to me and asked me to handle both safety and environmental protection matters, with the goal of obtaining an environmental protection certification by next year. To date, I still don’t even have a designation as a safety officer. Through hard work, I have managed to get certified as a safety assessment specialist as well as some other related certificates. I’m not sure what the situation will be like regarding safety certifications next year, or what the overall environment in terms of safety will be like
Work hard while you’re young; the income from the pharmaceutical industry is relatively stable, and it’s all about doing work.

I’m really worried about you. In today’s environment, safety comes first; it’s better that you haven’t been given an official title yet. If an appointment document is issued, you will have to take responsibility, and in the event of any safety incident, those in charge of safety cannot avoid accountability.
The safety field is pretty good; get a few more certificates, and then fail some courses!

I’m in the same situation as you now; what’s better for me is that I hold a higher position, so it’s easier for me to get things done. My suggestion is that HSE must, through meeting minutes, hazard notifications, safety campaigns, and other means, document in writing your findings and your warnings. It is also important to emphasize these points to the other managers and employees, so that they truly understand what \"dual responsibilities for one position\" means What does the safety production responsibility system mean? What does local management of safety mean? You are not working for your own safety, but for their safety, wages, future, and family happiness through your work. Only in this way can you gradually gain their trust and understanding, and only then will they be likely to support your work. I’m not sure if what I said is correct Haha!
