The issue of co-authors on papers

Every time I prepare to publish a paper, many colleagues ask me to include their names as well. I don’t understand why they do that; isn’t it required that the first author be the one who contributes most to the research? Even if it’s listed, what’s the use of having second and third authors?
The second author is also an author, so that can earn some extra points too: lol
The first author is the key figure; the second author helps to demonstrate your capabilities. With more papers, you will score higher during the evaluation process and be more likely to get approval
Is that how it is? Does the second author also get a share? Can it also help the first author?
As long as it’s among the top three, it counts for us
Second, although the third author cannot play a major role, they can still add value
