Early this morning, the turbine stopped operating spontaneously for no apparent reason; we immediately cut off the feed and organized personnel to restart the turbine. After the turbine resumed operation and feeding began, a dull noise was heard from Heat Exchanger No. 3, and a crack about 15 cm long and 2 cm wide appeared on the surface of the heat exchanger at the weld area. The pressure parameters were relatively normal, but the temperature inside the converter rose instantly from 150°C to 300°C before falling again. Preliminary analysis suggests that a flash explosion was caused by flammable gases, but during the shutdown period, the temperature in the combustion furnace remained around 1000°C, so it’s unlikely that flammable gases could have entered the subsequent system. The industrial gas entering the converter had a temperature of around 30°C, which is not sufficient for combustion. We would appreciate it if experienced professionals could help analyze the cause

It should be a dry process; judging from the temperature in the converter rising instantly from 150°C to 300°C and then falling, it seems that there was a flash explosion of flammable gases, resulting in an immediate release of heat. Is the pressure monitored?
