When using a multimeter to check whether the switch valve is in the proper position, it was observed that there was a delay in the sound emitted; after the meter’s probes were removed from the circuit, the sound continued for about 2 seconds. Does the duration of this sound have any special meaning? Additionally, it has been observed that the pneumatic on/off valve occasionally remains in the closed position while the circuit is still open; I think it’s a relay issue. Has anyone encountered this?
I guess it can only be said that your multimeter has a delay function.
A sound is produced when a short circuit occurs during capacitor discharge; the voltage I measured was 24V when there was an open circuit, and of course a closed circuit represents a short circuit. The measurement status is that the actual path responds when tested with both the positive and negative probes. At 24V with the circuit open, there is no sound when red is positive and black is negative; sound is produced when red is negative and black is positive. The sound continues for 3 seconds even after the contacts are disconnected. I suspect this is due to the charging and discharging of capacitors inside the device; I’m not sure about the specific circuitry. It was only after testing more than 10 valves that this phenomenon was discovered; I thought it was due to poor quality of the valve relays :L
