Why is the color of the purified water dark, and are the levels of sulfides and ammonia nitrogen high?

I have a 510-ton/hour acidic water stripping unit; recently the processing rate was 35 tons per hour. Suddenly, one day the color of the purified water turned dark, and the levels of sulfides and ammonia nitrogen were twice as high as usual. In response to this issue, the workshop made various adjustments, such as reducing the processing volume, increasing the temperature, and implementing reflux measures, but the water still did not meet the required standards. I would appreciate any advice from those with more experience!
Is there a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between the acidic raw water and the stripped purified water? Possible due to leakage

Is alkali added? Has there been any change in the quality of the acidic water from the upstream unit? All need to be checked.
