The vibration level must be less than 0.1 inches/second (2.54 mm/s); the vibration level of the motor when it’s running without a load should also be less than 0.1 inches/second (2.54 mm/s). It’s important that both parties agree on the same vibration standards. Set your ordinary vibration meter to the mm/s scale – it doesn’t matter whether it’s set to Lo or High (it’s used for measuring acceleration). Measure the vibrations in the horizontal, vertical, and radial directions at both the motor and the driven device’s bearings; the maximum value should be less than 2.54 mm/s; It is necessary to confirm with the other party whether this speed value refers to the peak value or the RMS value. National standards and most guidelines use the RMS value; only a very small number of cases use the peak value. The magnitudes of the two are different, with the RMS value being smaller. Good luck.
