The pressure is very low; the spring-type valves currently in use, with a capacity of 16 kilograms, cause the valve body and valve discs to collide inside the pipes, which is dangerous since the pipes contain flammable gases that are also somewhat corrosive. Can an ultra-low pressure check valve be used?
