May I ask: How are the copper busbars for powering the chlor-alkali electrolyzers arranged? Is it exposed? If so, how can the explosion-proof issue be resolved?

I’m sorry; actually, I’m not working in the chlor-alkali industry. I just noticed that copper strips used for the electrolysis of persulfate with inorganic salts were placed on top of the tank. The fire department said that exposed copper strips are not explosion-proof and ordered that they be corrected. Under normal operating conditions, copper bars do not generate sparks, but in accidental situations, such as when a conductor comes into contact with them, sparks may be produced. If a flammable mixture is present at such times, an explosion can occur. Therefore, in principle, copper bars located in hazardous areas should be equipped with explosion-proof junction boxes, and high-voltage applications require high-voltage explosion-proof junction boxes as well. Of course, from a safety perspective alone, as long as you protect the copper bars properly, for example by placing them in a housing with a protection rating of IP54 or higher, there is basically no problem.
