What is your scale? What is the current status of the project?
300,000 tons and 24,000 tons of waste acid, currently in the construction phase
When is the plan to start work? How to ensure compliance with the new standards? Is there a tail-washing process?
Why is DuPont being built again? Weren’t they supposed to build Rums?
It has been changed back to DuPont material, and the raw material has also been switched to C4 material obtained from ethylene production units; the processing volume is likely to increase as well. The 1.3 million tons per year ethylene project is currently under construction

The biggest risk in sulfate-based alkylation is acid and alkali corrosion. Especially acid corrosion. Pipelines, pumps, valves, tanks, towers, heat exchange equipment. So, it depends on what your boss or the equipment staff think. To operate in the long term, one needs high-quality equipment with excellent performance. Otherwise, within a year, there will be a bunch of problems. For operation, employees receive group training. Set the operational indicators and enforce them strictly. The product is naturally qualified, and the device operates smoothly.
The issue with alkali corrosion is not serious; what’s important are the areas where the acid flow is fast and the parts with high temperatures!
Corrosion does occur in the alkylation unit, but it isn’t as severe as one might think. The key is to be able to detect problems through careful observation during daily operations and address them promptly. Since the unit started operation in 2009, it has stopped working once due to corrosion issues, and that was caused by alkali corrosion; there have been no leaks resulting from acid corrosion that would affect production. However, thinning due to corrosion does still occur.
