An 110A differential pressure transmitter used in conjunction with a standard orifice plate to measure flow, with a range of 0–6 KPa; its output current is only 5.4 mA. A differential pressure of 0.308 KPa corresponds to a flow rate of approximately 1400, while the full scale flow rate is 5000. First, I checked the installation direction of the orifice plate and the pressure tapping pipes, and found that the direction was correct with no leaks. After replacing it with a different differential pressure transmitter and connecting the handheld controller, the differential pressure value was 1.7 KPa, which is close to the actual flow rate. Why could the first transmitter only output one differential pressure value? What are the solutions? Can the original transmitter still be used?
It is likely that the differential pressure setting of the differential pressure transmitter does not match that of the orifice plate; otherwise, there may be a problem with the differential pressure transmitter.
Do you have it set to output current or voltage? It seems that the differential voltage value you have doesn’t correspond to the output signal.
Current output – the figures I mentioned might not be entirely accurate, but after switching to another unit, the readings seem correct

If the transmitter’s output signal does not change with the measured signal, it may be because the transmitter is in loop calibration mode and has not been exited.
What to do if a one-way valve has internal leakage? It is recommended to close the positive and negative pressure valves of the one-way valve directly, remove the pressure tapping tube connected to the transmitter, and check whether the reading returns to zero. GG

It should be a square root problem, as mentioned above, plus there are issues related to the actual site conditions; the original poster also didn’t clarify what was being measured. Here, one of the steam flow meters has been installed improperly. It was correct before the isolation tank was installed, but afterward the pressure tapping pipe bent upward, causing the meter gauge to be above the isolation tank. The insulation was inadequate, and after it was put into use, condensation occurred rapidly on the high-pressure pressure tapping pipe on the north side, resulting in false readings that were lower than the actual flow rate
