The air-water cooling system mainly consists of four components: a partition for separating hot and cold air in the inverter room, air ducts, axial flow fans, and heat exchangers. The wind flow direction is: indoor cold air area → inverter → fan on top of the inverter cabinet → indoor hot air area → air duct → axial flow fan → heat exchanger → indoor cold air area → inverter. That is, the air from the cold air zone inside the room enters the inverter, flows through the electrical modules that need to be cooled, and is then discharged to the hot air zone via the fan located on the top of the cabinet. Under the action of the axial flow fan, this air is blown toward the heat exchanger (which consists of copper or steel tubes equipped with cooling fins). Cold water at a temperature of less than 30°C serves as the cooling medium within these copper (or steel) tubes. As the hot air passes over the cooling fins, it transfers its heat to the cold water; this heat is carried away by the circulating cooling water, turning it into cold air that is then blown out through the cooling fins and sent back into the enclosed space where the inverter is installed. Ensure that the ambient temperature in the space where the frequency converter is installed does not exceed 45°C, so as to guarantee that the air temperature entering the frequency converter cabinet remains below 45°C.
