I would like to ask the experts: what equipment is used to filter particles with a size of 10 um? I work in the catalyst production industry. The particle size of our products is around 10 um. Currently, we use G4 glass frit for filtration; after the filter cake is slurried, it is filtered repeatedly until the impurity content meets the required standards. This processing method has very low efficiency due to the small volume of material processed – only 3 m3 per day. I am wondering if anyone knows of suitable filtration machines that could be used, or if there are any manufacturers, both domestic and international, that produce filtration machines with advanced technology and high quality. Since the points are not many, it’s not possible to offer a reward; thanks to those who are kind.

It’s difficult to choose the right filter cloth and centrifuge. Could the experts upstairs share which centrifuges and filter cloths they use?
The main problem is that the volume is too small – at most 1 ton of water can be washed and filtered per day. The filter cake amounts to about 5 liters, which fits in a beaker; a centrifuge using filter cloth isn’t effective enough for filtering. When using a high-speed centrifuge, the supernatant becomes cloudy after just a few spins. It’s also quite troublesome to remove the filter cake and grind it into a paste, and no suitable equipment has been found yet
I need to wash the filter cake repeatedly. Its properties are similar to those of iron hydroxide; my filter cake is also a type of hydroxide, and it’s extremely difficult to clean. At present, the only option is to spend money on a machine for cleaning it. I’m not sure which kind of machine would work for this purpose, so I’d appreciate advice from those who know more about this.
Horizontal spiral centrifuges can solve this problem. You just need to use it for one hour a day; buy one with a processing capacity of 3 m3/h
At this stage, you can only consider high-speed centrifugation. With a low solid content and fine particles, a large filtration area results in a low recovery rate, while a small area may not ensure effective filtration! By the way, may I ask what type of high-speed centrifuge you are using currently?
