Seeking advice on career planning

The original poster has been working on the design of unit equipment in the technical department of a large state-owned enterprise for two and a half years. Since the development of new projects currently requires setting up test benches, management has indicated that they want me to learn Labview programming so that I can be fully responsible for constructing these test benches; very few people in the company use Labview. I would like to ask the senior members of Haichuan: is it necessary for the original poster to spend time learning this programming tool? Is it useful for future career development?
I don’t know the original poster’s background; what’s their experience with computers like? Having multiple skills is never a disadvantage; learning LabVIEW opens up various paths for you in the future. The key question is: learning a *language is different from your previous device design work. Do you like it?

Learning new things is always more beneficial than harmful for one’s self
For me, this is something you’re mainly responsible for. . . So learn it; in the future, the test benches will all be yours~~~ But don’t leave the equipment there~~~
