The requirement to provide the wall thickness of the main pipe is merely for determining the dimensions needed for processing at the bottom. That’s my understanding. My question is this: when the main pipe is relatively thin, such as DN900 with a wall thickness of 10 mm, I choose a DN200 branch fitting rated at 3000 LB for connection. Will the weight of the DN200 branch fitting have an impact on the main pipe? Has anyone paid attention to this issue?
