The conveyor reduction motor is an integration of a reducer and a motor, and it is an important component of conveyor equipment. It is generally used in transmission devices that require low speeds but high torque. It achieves speed reduction by using the fewer teeth on the input shaft of the reducer to mesh with the larger teeth on the output shaft, thereby transferring power from the conveyor motor, internal combustion engine, or other high-speed rotating sources. Ordinary reducers also employ several pairs of gears operating on the same principle to achieve the desired level of speed reduction; the ratio of the number of teeth between the large and small gears constitutes the transmission ratio. I. Function of the conveyor reducer: 1. It reduces speed while increasing output torque; the torque output is calculated as the motor’s output multiplied by the reduction ratio, but care must be taken to ensure that it does not exceed the reducer’s maximum torque capacity. 2. While reducing speed, the inertia of the load is also decreased; the reduction in inertia is equal to the square of the reduction ratio. You can see that ordinary motors all have an inertia value. II. Daily maintenance of the conveyor reducer 1. Regularly check whether the installation foundation, seals, and drive shaft are in good condition. 2. When in normal use, it is necessary to regularly check the oil level of the lubricant; the maximum temperature of the lubricant should be below 85 degrees. When there are abnormal changes in oil temperature rise or unusual noises occur, the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection; it can only be used again after the fault has been resolved. 3. New components must undergo running-in and load testing before being put into formal use. 4. Do not strike the reducer housing with a sledgehammer to avoid damage.
