By using tank cleaning as a means of changing the medium, it becomes possible to meet the storage requirements for the medium without having to enter the tank, thus making the tank cleaning process relatively simple. In cold weather, a hot water system can be used for cleaning; if no hot water is available, a steam mixer can be used to create a simple hot water heat exchanger. It would be even better if there were rotating nozzles inside the tank, as this would allow hot water to be connected directly to the nozzles, enabling cleaning of the entire surface below the floating disk. Wastewater should be discharged promptly to prevent freezing. If the tank has sewage discharge holes, the sewage can be discharged directly; after cleaning, the small amount of water remaining can be replaced with a medium or dried out.
