As the title suggests, this is my first time dealing with the design of pressure vessels at atmospheric pressure. During the design process, when drawing the welding details for the two side walls of the rectangular vessel, I wasn’t sure what height the weld legs should have. The wall thickness of the rectangular vessel I am designing is 4 mm. Could someone please tell me what value should be used for the weld leg height k on the inner and outer sides?
