We are planning to conduct real boiling point distillation analysis, which has been done rarely before. What precautions should we take?
Actual boiling point distillation has standard methods and a set of standardized instruments; you should follow the requirements outlined in the operation manuals for these standard methods and instruments, and it is advisable to have a thorough understanding of those requirements. Conducting distillation at the true boiling point of a certain material is relatively complex (usually oil or petroleum products); having an understanding of relevant knowledge about oil and petroleum refining is very helpful for carrying out this experiment.
