We need to develop some new processes, which requires a redesign of the gas-solid fluidized bed reactor. Could fellow forum members help recommend which domestic company or research institution has strong capabilities in the design and computational simulation of gas-solid fluidized beds? Thank you!
The two design institutes with the highest level of expertise in fluidized bed reactor design are Sinopec Engineering Construction Company (SEI) and Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd. (LPEC). Apart from these two companies, Shanghai Hetu Engineering Co., Ltd. and the East China Design Branch of China National Petroleum Engineering Corporation are also good choices; they are among the best domestic companies in the field of fluidized bed technology. Of course, besides these companies, there are some other ones that can do it as well; they’re just of lower quality compared to the companies mentioned above.
These are all design institutes that work on catalytic fluidized bed platforms.
What type of fluidized bed is it? A dehydrogenation fluidized bed? Have the catalyst property indicators been determined?
Synthesis of silicone monomers, via the reaction of silicon powder with chloromethane.
It’s not easy to find design firms; China has in-depth research in fluidized bed technology and catalytic cracking, while most other technologies are imported, and there may not be many people who can carry out the calculations.
Bro, this isn’t an easy task to handle. 1. By choosing to use silicone, your reactor size won’t be very large. 2. It seems that few design institutes in China are currently working on this technology; those that are good at handling fluidized bed reactors are all from the petrochemical industry, focusing mainly on oil and chemical processing. 3. I suggest you find some small-scale hydrogenation reactor manufacturers in China to have a custom unit made for you, so that you can gradually test the various parameters yourself
In the petrochemical industry, are there reactors for the industrial production of Class C particles? Or a fluidized bed reactor with a perforated plate gas distributor design?
Yes, for example, fluidized bed gas furnaces. It is recommended to first conduct process calculations to determine the equipment structure, and then carry out a cold test model. If it’s done using simulation software, I think the idea is too simple. If you are familiar with fluidization technology, this job is not difficult to do. Determine the gas velocity in the bed, select a distributor, cyclone separator, heat exchanger, etc. The difficulty lies in the selected fluidizing medium and the safety of the process.
Design institutes: Saiding (Ningbo) and Hualu; to the best of my knowledge, most domestic silicone processing projects are carried out by these two companies. Research institutions: Qingdao University of Science and Technology; Zhejiang University has research on the synthesis of silicone monomers.
