May I ask: What is the reason why, under the requirements for closely monitoring hazardous chemical processes, hydrogenation processes are required to have a system for monitoring oxygen content?

Question: Why does the requirement in \"Key Hazardous Chemical Processes Under Strict Supervision\" stipulate that oxygen content monitoring must be in place for hydrogenation processes? What are the hazards of not monitoring the oxygen level in the system? I have seen the designs of some diesel and gasoline hydrogenation units, and none of them include monitoring of the system’s oxygen content. I wonder if any designers have worked on such designs? Also, what exactly does monitoring the cooling water flow rate in the hydrogenation unit refer to? For what reasons, again?
During my check-up last year, an expert suggested installing an online analyzer at the gas generation part of the nitrogen production machine. It was meant to monitor the oxygen content in the hydrogenation system, but it wasn’t specified as a corrective action, so the company didn’t take any action! It is supposed to prevent the formation of explosive substances. The second one should be to prevent excessive heat, as heat dissipation isn’t timely enough!
