For example, water, when cooled to -20°C and fed into a flash evaporator, remains in liquid form as it exits. How do I set it up?

Aspen is not very good at working with solid-state supports; in such cases it’s definitely a solid-state support, and one needs to specify it manually
Software is stupid, but people are not! In fact, most software is used for gas-liquid equilibrium calculations; its capabilities for dealing with solids are relatively limited!
