Dear colleagues, both the inner tube and the outer sleeve of the jacketed pipe are made of titanium. Half of the outer sleeves have already been installed on site. So far, only 10% of the inner tubes have been subjected to radiographic testing; however, according to the specifications, 100% testing of these inner tubes is required. Is there any way to re-test the inner tubes without removing the outer sleeves? Are there any other non-destructive testing methods that can be used as a substitute for radiographic testing, just as a temporary solution? Thank you~

For example, the specific material grade of titanium, the outer diameters and wall thicknesses of the inner and outer tubes of the jacket, the welding process used, and the actual conditions of the weld areas, etc.
Even if you use ultrasonic testing, the owner won’t agree; the inner tube of the jacketed pipe must be inspected using 100% RT testing. We had to cut away the outer tube reluctantly and start over from scratch. . .
We haven’t conducted any tests, but it uses segmented pressure application to maintain pressure. Both the internal and external aspects are checked; the main concern is leakage, as that would be a real problem if it happens
