The distillation system was shut down for washing; after water was introduced into the distillation tower, water could be seen at the bottom of the tower. Why is no water visible in the diesel stripping tower?
In a diesel stripping tower, it’s very difficult to see water; this is different from when diesel flows downward during operation. Here, the first time we carried out water flushing, we raised the water level to a high level before water could be seen inside the stripping tower
This depends on the design of the diesel outlet in the device; if the diesel isn’t completely drawn out, it’s difficult to see the liquid level
What type of tray? What other forms of extraction outlets are there? We use floating valve trays here; the water level is roughly at the same level as the bottom of the tower.
If there is no water visible, how can the diesel system be washed with water?
We connected a water line at the inlet of the diesel pump; the diesel pump is used to pump water forward along the flow path
Why is it difficult to see the liquid level if not all of it is drawn out?
The water has flowed down to the lower trays. This isn’t the same as when it was first started up; during operation, there was an upward airflow at the bottom
Part of it is withdrawn, and part goes into the stripping tower while another part flows to the next tray, right?
Without gas support, most of the liquid phase will fall to the lower trays.
Similar to the crude gasoline system, the inlet of the crude gasoline pump is connected to the fresh water line, and the crude gasoline is pumped back into the tower using this pump
