The main difference is in the composition! Olefinic crude oil and paraffinic crude oil yield oils with the same density but different boiling ranges, while oils produced by thermal degradation also have the same density. At the same boiling range, the density varies. Some others are mixed with coal tar, mixed aromatics, and the like, and can even be confused with conventional oils
