How is the stroke of a large reciprocating multi-stage compressor measured?
Remove the cylinder head, use a crank motor to rotate the reciprocating machine, and use a steel ruler to measure the maximum reciprocating distance of the piston. The piston stroke is specified in the accompanying data sheet
The travel distance is the range of its movement; this is usually specified in the instructions, and you can also measure the distance the crosshead moves by rotating the crankshaft once.
